Graduation Fact Sheet
Graduation
Ceremonies for undergraduate and graduate students will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Special Events Center in Garland, TX.
Graduates
should report to the ceremony by 5:45pm; look for signs to check in. You will receive
your name card from the help desk. You should bring your cap and
gown/honor cord, purchased from Jostens, to the auditorium the
evening of the ceremony. Around 6:30pm Career Services Staff will assist you with lining up. You will line up in alphabetical order
in front of your degree program sign.
The
graduation ceremony will start at 7:00pm precisely.
Doors to the
auditorium will open at 6:00pm for attendees.
Suggested
Dress for Graduation Day
Men: Dark
slacks and a white shirt with dark shoes and socks
Women: Dresses
not as long as your gown or dark slacks, white shirt, dark dress
shoes with matching hose.
Photos
Graduation
photos will be taken before the ceremony. Chappel Graduation Images will be taking pictures at the check-in area
between 5:00pm and 6:30pm.
Information
on cap and gown photo packages and prices is located outside
of or at the font desk of Career Services.
Digital pictures of the ceremony will be posted on the DeVry Dallas website about one week after the ceremonies.
Caps and
Gowns
Your cap
and gown cannot be ordered on the day of graduation.
You must purchase your cap and gown/honor cords from Jostens
during Senior FEST or through their web site at
www.jostens.com
or by
calling them at 1-800-854-7464 at least
3 weeks before graduation. Your order must be
placed at least 3 weeks before the graduation ceremony.
If you missed getting measured at the Senior Fest please contact Career Services at (972) 929-9355 before Monday, May 19, 2008 for further arrangements.
The tassel, cap and gown are yours to keep. Bring your
regalia to the auditorium on the day of graduation.

family and friends arrive early so ceremony will not be disturbed.

friends to refrain from bring any balloons or noise makers as these items are prohibited at this venue.
