Parking
Violations And Citations

All vehicles must be parked in the designated areas appropriate to their stickers and in no other area. Each vehicle operator is responsible for all violations incurred on their parking sticker number, license plate, or other identification. If you sell your vehicle to another student but fail to remove your sticker, you will be responsible for any penalties assessed against your sticker number. Any vehicle not adhering to these policies is subjected to being issued a citation and immobilized with an auto-cuff.

Parking Violations and Fees

Violation: Fine:
No Parking Sticker: $20.00
Sticker Expired: $20.00
Parked in Reserved Space:
(Staff, Visitor, Physically Disabled)
$25.00
Speeding/Reckless Driving: $25.00
Parking in Unmarked Space: $15.00

Other (but not limited to):

  • Unsafe Parking
  • Failure to Stop at STOP sign
  • Transfer of Sticker to an Unregistered Vehicle
$15.00

If fees are paid within two (2) business days, they will be reduced by 50%.

All fines are payable at the Cashier Window in Student Central during regular business hours. You will need to bring the citation and the receipt to Room 210 to prevent being blocked during registration periods. Students who consistently receive citations and do not pay them will have their registration blocked and their diploma may be withheld. If your vehicle has received an auto-cuff, you need to contact the Parking Coordinator in Room 200. DO NOT attempt to remove the auto-cuff as you may cause damage to your own car. Any vehicle found in consistent violation of the parking procedures and policies is subject to towing. We reserve the right to tow those vehicles found to be abandoned, stolen, or otherwise left on institute property. Information on where to claim the vehicle may be obtained in room 210, the IT department.

Appealing a Citation

If you would like to appeal a parking citation you received, please fill out a parking appeal in IT department (Room 210). The appeal will be reviewed by the parking Coordinator and the response will be mailed back to the student within 3-5 business days.
