Financial
Aid Procedures
Below is a
description of the process a new student at DeVry should follow
in order to properly apply for Financial Aid. If the student has
any questions about any of these steps or any issue about financial
aid he/she may speak with a Financial Aid Advisor. For a more
detailed explanation of the financial aid process please visit
DeVry
Inc.'s Student Finance Page.
Step 1
Speak with a financial aid advisor at the school
After you
have completed your admission process your admissions representative
should take you to speak with a financial aid advisor. The Financial
Aid Advisor will sit down with you and explain your financial
aid options. The Advisor will also give you a financial aid
packet that contains all the paper work you will need to fill
out.
Step 2
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Inside your
financial aid packet will be a FAFSA form that you must complete
to be eligible for financial aid. You may fill out the form
in your packet and mail it too the U.S. Department of Education
with the envelope provided or you may fill out the form on the
Web. If you use the Web to fill out your FAFSA form your FAFSA
form will be processed faster.

Step 3
Complete the DeVry EDUCARD Agreement and Information and Authorization
Form
Inside your
your financial aid packet you will find an EDUCARD Agreement
form and an Information Authorization form. Fill both of these
forms out and return them to the Financial Aid Office.
Step 4
Complete the Federal Stafford Loan and/or Federal Parent PLUS
Loan Application
Inside you
financial aid packet you will find a Federal Stafford Loan Application
and a Federal Parent PLUS Loan Application. If you are an independent
student (determined when you filled out the FAFSA form) you
only need to fill out the Federal Stafford Loan application.
If you are a dependent student you need to have your parents
fill out the Federal Parent PLUS Loan application. Dependent
students should also fill out the Stafford Loan application.
These forms may also be filled out on the Web. As with the FAFSA
form application submitted on the Web will be processed faster.
