Technology
and Software Supplies Charge
Effective
July, 2005, technology charges are:

$135 per semester for
full-time campus-based students
-
$80 per semester for part-time campus-based students
-
$15 per session for center-based students
This charge is non-refundable.
Explanation
of Charge
DeVry University
is committed to providing technologically advanced tools, services
and support throughout our curriculum. The Technology and Software
Supplies Charge enables DeVry to regularly update labs, software,
library technology, and other important student services, including
but not limited to:
- Installing
up-to-date software releases in our labs
- Making
internet access available in the labs, libraries and classrooms
- Providing
off campus access to our expanded electronic library facilities,
such as Proquest Information and Learning, which provides
seven databases, including the Wall Street Journal; Faulker
Information Services for FACCTS and TCOM and CIS databases;
and net Library, providing access to over 12,000 electronic
books
- Incorporating
Web-based instruction into many courses
- Providing
online course augmentation and additional learning opportunities
through our relationships with Black Board, eCollege, Oracle
and NETg, both on campus and online
- Increasing
information technology help desk and support services
- Supporting
expanded use of technology in classrooms by faculty
- McAfee Anti-virus home use option
- Microsoft
(Office Suite, Visual Studio Suite, Windows, FrontPage, Project,
Visio)
