Do I Have To Pay A Deposit?

To reserve your space in DeVry housing, you must submit a $150 deposit before the deadline date. This deposit will be used to hold your housing space and help to ensure that you keep your apartment in acceptable condition.

Is My Deposit Refundable?

Your deposit is refundable under the following conditions:

  • When you send written notification canceling your reservation postmarked by the deadline date.
  • If you are not accepted for admission to DeVry.
  • When you move out of housing, if you have met all terms of the agreement and there are no outstanding charges or balances due.

What if I Miss the Reservation Deadline or Apply for Admission to DeVry After That Date?

You may still make your reservation however:

  • A $25 late fee will be charged to your account and should be included with your deposit of $150 (Total of $175)
  • We may not be able to accommodate your roommate preference and special requests.
  • While every attempt will be made to have your space ready by registration, we can not guarantee this for late registration.

Assignments will be made on a first come first serve basis, as space is available.

How Long Does The Housing Agreement Last?

The DeVry Housing Agreement last for 1 academic semester. You will have to sign a Housing Agreement for every semester you stay in housing.

Can I Choose My Roommates?

The DeVry Housing staff makes all roommate assignments. The Housing staff will make every effort to place you with students who are similar to you in age, program of study, and smoking preference. While the Housing Staff will make every effort to honor each roommate request, they can not guarantee placement. If you wish to request to have a specific roommate you must list that person on every form and that person must list you on their forms.

When Can I Move In?

If your reservation was received on time, you may move in on:

Thursday, March 8, 2007 from 10:30am - 3:00pm
OR
Friday, March 9, 2007 from 10:30am - 2:00pm

The moves in dates are subject to change. A confirmation letter will be sent to students who are accepted into the housing program. This letter will include a confirmed move in date.
