DeVry's Testing Center allows students to test out of selected courses. A student may feel that the material in a course has been mastered, either through courses taken at another institution or through training programs for which transfer credit cannot be given.
A student may request a proficiency examination for a course, provided the student has not previously or is not currently enrolled in the course at a DeVry Campus. In general, courses must be on the Dean's list of approved courses, and must not have been "skipped" when normally taken.
In addition to proficiency exams, the testing center also proctors make up exams for courses. If a student wishes to take a make up exam for a course the student must speak with the instructor of that course and have the instructor set an appointment in the testing center. Make up exam fees are $10 for DeVry undergraduate students and $25 for Keller graduate students.
The Testing center is located in the Library. Please contact the Testing Center to schedule an appointment.
